These Navajo Dress Panels (Biil) measure 29" x 48" (2'5" x 4'). With Lac and Indigo.  Classic tie downs visible.  Slight Ethnographic wear marks in the center of the panels add to the authenticity of the piece, making it a unique and valuable addition to any collection.

Navajo two paneled dress known as a Biil was fastened at the shoulders, utilized slits for the arms and head and was cinched at the waist.  The dress is sometimes referred to as a “rug dress.”   A Biil was standard clothing for Navajo women before the Long Walk.
